 Non-EU trained candidates must have successfully passed the IELTS Academic Exam before for a Staff Nurse position in Ireland or the UK. 

For Irish Nursing Registration (NMBI): EU trained candidates do not need to complete the IELTS Academic Test. 

For UK Nursing registration (NMC): EU trained candidates must achieve the IELTS Academic Test results above.

Recent changes by the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) allow candidates to pool the results of two Academic IELTS exam sittings in order to achieve the overall band score of 7. Both exams must be taken within a 6 month period and a score of 7 must be scored in each area over the two sittings. 

 IELTS Academic Test requirements do not apply to nurses who have completed their training in one of the following countries: Australia, Canada, the United States of America, and New Zealand.

Dubai Health Authority (DHA Exam) – Prometric (Computer Based Testing) the exam can be taken around the globe.

Ministry of Health, UAE (MOH Exam) – Nursing Exam At Sharjah only (OMR Sheet Exam).

Department of Health Abu Dhabi (DOH Exam) – Pearson VUE (Computer Based Testing) the exam can be taken around the globe.

The assessment and qualifying exam has to be cleared by Doctors, Nurses, and other health specialists and technicians who want to work in the United Arab Emirates.

         

                 The main motto of the DHA licensing was to ensure the safe delivery of high standard healthcare services to the people in Dubai. There is a need to obtain a DHA license for every Healthcare professional who needs to keep the clinical practice in any healthcare facility within the DHA jurisdiction (Dubai) which was valid all the time during their practice. DHA license requirements will depend on the unified licensing guidelines. And based on the DHA exam i.e. DHA license exam the license will be given to the health care professionals who qualified in that exam.

               For every healthcare professional in UAE, who are willing to work in hospitals or any healthcare centers in Sharjah and Other Northern Emirates (Ras al Khaimah, Fujairah, Umm al Quwain, Ajman), Ministry of Health (MOH) will issues license. MOH exam for MOH license UAE was the entrance exam in which every healthcare professional needs to be qualified to get the license. MOH Dubai exam for doctors, pharmacists, dentists, nurses, physiotherapists, etc. For any medical professional who wants to settle and continue their career in UAE, this license exam will be beneficial.  MOH license will permit every medical professional to work in the medical field in 5 other emirates in the UAE.

                  DOH license will authorize you to provide professional healthcare practice in Abu Dhabi. DOH Licensing is very important to deliver high standards of healthcare services. So initially there is a need to know about DOH licensing requirements such as DOH exam i.e. DOH license exam for different healthcare professionals. After fulfilling all requirements healthcare professionals with different specialties can able to get a license to work in Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The license should be current & valid during their clinical practice. The license should be renewed 3 months prior to the date of expiry. Another requirement is healthcare professionals should obtain a no-objection certificate (NOC) from their respective Hospital management.
